Service
to the Parish: |
-
Minister
to bereaving parishioners.
-
Assist
families with the planning of the funeral (select readings,
music, etc.).
-
Conduct
wake services in the absence of a priest/religious.
-
Assist
at the funeral service in church as a lector, server, or Eucharistic
Minister.
-
Conduct
the burial service at the cemetery in the absence of a priest/religious.
-
Assist
families with any follow-up after the funeral/burial (possibly
with phone calls).
