Purpose: |
To develop
and monitor the use of Parish Buildings and oversee the maintenance,
housekeeping, and repair of such buildings. |

Parish
Buildings: |
Holy
Family Parish Chruch, Parish Center, former Saint Patrick's Convent
(currently rent to Next Step), and former Saint Casimir's Convent
(currently used as Food Pantry and Poverello Center, and also rented
to Healthy Capital District Initiative).
Rental of parish building space generated over $30K of income for
the parish in the 2005-2006 fiscal year. |

| Responsibilities: |
The Committee
shall formulate and implement guidelines for space utilization, building
maintenance and repair, and the placement and storage of Parish Center
inventory. The Committee shall also formulate and implement policies
pertinent to the performance of its own specific functions and responsbilities,
subject ot the review by the Pastor prior to implementation. |

| Membership: |
The Committee
should have, at least, eight parishioners, preferably including inividuals
with experience and/or contacts in the buildings maintenance or usage
fields. The Committee is urgently in need of new members. |

Recent Projects: |
The attic ventilation
project to vent the church attic so that moist air that was being
trapped in the attic and deteriorating the wooden portions of the
roof could be pumped out of the building.
Also repairing the inside of the church that was corroded by water
seeping into the building. |
