Service to the Parish:

Attend the weekend Mass at which you are scheduled to read. This is a one-hour committment. Before Mass begins, you sign-in on the sheet posted in the vestibule of the church.
   
Reader at Mass:
(at Lecturn)
Reader ONE carries the Book of the Gospels in the entrance procession and places the Book on the altar table.

Reader ONE proclaims the first reading and reads the Responsorial Psalm.

Reader TWO proclaims the second reading. When done, Reader TWO places book on shelf under lecturn to make room for Book which the priest will read from.
    

Leader at Mass:

 General Intercessions
Leader reads the Prayers of the Faithful.
Binder with the Intercessions is in the sacristy.
    
Notes: Lectors attend a training meeting.
