MISSION
STATEMENT We are a multi-cultural and diverse Catholic Community of Center City Albany. As followers of Jesus, we choose to be instruments of peace, healing, and a visible sign of hope to each other and to all in our neighborhood. |

Formed
in May 2005, Holy Family Parish is the result of the consolidation
of three parishes located in Center City Albany—Our Lady of
Angels, St. Casimir’s and St. Patrick’s. Each of these
three parishes was originally begun in the latter part of the 19th
Century to serve the pastoral needs of the German, Polish and Irish
immigrants, respectively. All three initially had their own church,
school, convent and rectory; however as demographics changed drastically
in the Center City, so also did the composition of the parishes,
which resulted in the closing of the various facilities, including
St. Casimir's Church in August 2004 and Our Lady of Angels Church
in April 2005. |

An integral part of Holy Family Parish is the Spanish
Apostolate of the Diocese of Albany. Originally housed at the
Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany, the Hispanic Community
moved to St. Patrick’s in 1980's, where it continues to grow
as a very vibrant faith community. |

DE OBJECTIVOS Somos una Comunidad multi-cultural y diversa católica de la Ciudad Central Albany. Cuando los seguidores de Jesús, nosotros escogemos ser instrumentos de la paz, de la curación, y de un signo visible de la cima de la esperanza uno al otro y a todo en nuestro vecindario. |

La
parroquia se formó en Mayo del 2005, es el resultado de la
consolidación de tres parroquias localizadas en el Centro
de la Ciudad de Albany – Nuestra Señora de los Angeles,
San Casimiro y San Patricio. Cada una de estas parroquias comenzó
en la última parte del siglo XIV sirviendo las necesidades
pastorales de los inmigrantes alemanes, polacos e irlandeses respectivamente.
Inicialmente, cada una de ellas tenía su iglesia, escuela,
convento y rectoría; sin embargo, al cambiar drásticamente
la demografía del Centro de la Ciudad, cambió también
la composición de las parroquias, que resultó en la
clausura de varios edificios, incluyendo la Parroquia de San Casimiro
en Agosto del 2004 y Nuestra Señora de los Angeles en Abril
del 2005. |

Una
parte integral de la parroquia es el Apostolado
Hispano de la Diócesis de Albany. Originalmente se hospedaban
en la Catedral de la Inmaculada Concepción en Albany, la
Comunidad Hispana se instaló en San Patricio en 1990 donde
continua creciendo como una vibrante comunidad de fe. |
